British Council Library, New Delhi |
|
The British Council New Delhi, which has long been a paradise for book lovers, has undergone an extensive refurbishment to make it an even more attractive place for people to study, explore their interests or simply relax and chat over a cup of coffee. We’ve been listening to our customers and as a result we have adopted a new approach that goes way beyond providing a ‘traditional’ library. The books are all still there, in fact we have more books in our collection now than we did 6 months ago, but we’ve now introduced easy to use technology that takes the stress out of borrowing and returning books, CDs and DVDs; a ‘sound shower’ so you can listen to the best of contemporary British music; and a coffee shop so you can make yourself at home when you visit us! The children’s section is still there and you can also enjoy some delicious food at the newly refreshed Café Charbargh.
