Making an impact with powerful presentations

The British Council invites you to be a part of a unique workshop that covers the skill that is in great demand, ‘How to make Effective Professional Presentations’. As the name suggests, this workshop will deal with the practical techniques to:

  • Plan, prepare, structure and deliver a business presentation
  • Analyse the audience and give the presentation the right audience focus
  • Open and close a presentation appropriately
  • Actively involve the audience
  • Use voice and body language effectively
  • Handle questions confidently
Participants will make two short presentations during the workshop, the first round will be a warmer and the second round of presentations will give the participants an opportunity to practise what they have learned during the course. They will also benefit from the analysis and feedback they receive from the trainer at the end of their presentations.

Venue: British Library, 23 Kasturba Road Cross, Bangalore
Fee: 1500 for non members and 1000 for members;

About the facilitator:
 
Dr C. L. N. Prakash is a Training Consultant and works very closely with the British Council and Cambridge ESOL. He has over three decades of experience as a trainer, facilitator, teacher, administrator and author, thereby bringing a depth of experience, having taught at the undergraduate and the post graduate levels. He trains Corporates in Business English, trains trainers and teachers. He also writes for the Cambridge University Press and some of his recent publications are 'An Advanced Course in Communication skills’, 'A Course in Communication Skills’ and Reflections III.

He has been on the Visiting faculty of top Business schools like the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and the Centre for Executive Education, TAPMI. He has delivered training at a number of organisations such as Wipro, Mysis, ABB, ANZ-IT, BPL India, Astra Zeneca, Monsanto, Aptech, Cisco Systems, GE Electric, Perot Systems, Sun Micro Systems, Honeywell, Trigent Software, Infosys-BPO, AOL, Curam Software Pvt Ltd, Ernst and Young, Axa technologies, Akamai, Dreamworks and Vodafone.
