British Council India in collaboration with the Central School of Speech and Drama, UK, cordially invites those with a flair for acting to register for a unique bouquet of sessions on acting and its basics. Accredited by the University of London and the UK Government Department for Education and Employment (DfEE), the Central School of Speech and Drama is a recognised Centre for Excellence and also renowned for providing some of the best drama, acting, speech and voice training in the world. Mark Kane will be conducting the courses.

Performing Shakespeare
Date: 25 - 26 May
Time: 10.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
This course is designed to help broaden and develop one’s understanding and practical exploration of Shakespeare. It will focus on the play - Macbeth.
Improvisation in Acting - an introduction
Date: 27 - 28 May
Time: 10.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
This course aims to interrogate the process of improvisation. Polish, develop and realise the skills necessary to become an active, spontaneous and flexible actor.
Improvisation in Acting - advanced
Date: 30 - 31 May
Time: 10.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
Building on ‘Improvisation in acting - an introduction’, this course will further develop the participant’s ability to improvise by working on extended improvisation exercises commonly used in actor training in the UK.

About the Trainer
Mark teaches various acting courses at Central, notably Shakespeare and Audition Technique. He also teaches at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and was trained at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. |
