The British Council, Chennai will host a variety of events starting 5 September till 5 October. Each of the events will equip you with tools to broaden your horizons, professionally as well as mentally.
Storytelling Session “Crow”

Intelligent, ruthless, stark, graceful… crows haunt not only the landscapes around us, but also the human inner world. Folktale, myth and folklore abound with black-feathered tricksters and shape-shifters. Dominic weaves their stories along a northern borderland between fields and sea. Here, in the shadows of his grandfather's life and the saltmarsh channels, neither crows nor people are quite what they seem.
In 2009 Dominic was awarded the New Directions Commission by Cambridge Storytelling Festival, with funding from the Arts Council, to create a new performance piece for adults. Crow is the result, a piece that melts together folktale and folklore, biography and myth and pours its story across the tideline between the tame and the wild. It was premiered at the festival in May 2009, and has since been performed across the country at venues including The Barbican, the Soho Theatre in London's West End and The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival.

Acquire proven tools to stay productive and focussed when things do not go as expected and learn how to maximise performance by working as a team. A team, whose members are aligned with its purpose, feel a challenge in their task, have a strong sense of camaraderie, feel responsibility for the outcome, and experience growth as a team and in their personal lives, will tend to sustain motivation over the long haul.
This is not to say that they will not have difficulties at times, or that members’ wants and needs won’t change over time. In these cases, sometimes changes will have to be made. A member who no longer feels the team is meeting his or her needs may have to leave the team to continue on their own path. But, in as much as it is possible to sustain motivation indefinitely, the factors above will tend to create the best possible environment for it.
